Not one to openly ask for help in this company, Buffy was still grateful when Faith, unasked, sidled up to Buffy and let her inconspicuously lean against her as they walked. Buffy didn't say anything to Faith, but the fact that she let Faith do this (instead of moving away stubbornly) said quite a bit.
"So, Harmony was my best friend, and I wanted to seduce Xander." A pause. "And you're trying to say I wasn't a ball of joy?" She laughed, mostly at herself. Hopefully 'she' hadn't done too much damage. "I guess she just had good taste, Spike. I mean, the world can't change everything about me."
They were at the hotel, and Buffy was feeling slightly worried about having 'Claire Blood'. Was she supposed to have it injected, or drink it, or what? Drinking blood wasn't something she wanted to do.
Regarding Spike, who'd followed the Slayer duo to the Hyperion even though he didn't seem to stay here, Buffy tried to seriously consider his words. "Uh...well, I told you that you can stop dating Harmony, right? That's a present. And - you're welcome. But well, thanks again for the other stuff. Let's call it even?" She didn't wait for a response to that because she was certain he wouldn't call it even. But now wasn't the time. He had been patient, hovering behind them outside of the door. "I think Faith and I have to do some weird blood ritual now... uh - oh." She looked to Faith. "Does - does Spike get Claire-blood too, since he was all hurt?" She wasn't sure how that worked around here. Giving him human blood was...she didn't know.
