Possible last thoughts of Gus St. James: She has a boyfriend? What a tease!
Buffy looked to the the ground and then back to Faith. She was stuck on the 'Daddy' reference. Men? "Such pigs." As for if she was okay...she wasn't sure.
Key? Now that was something Buffy could help out with, because it had been something she'd been keeping an eye out for. But there had been no chance of getting it on her own. "Kabosh on the axes. They had a key hanging on a hook inside the door of that building." It was hard to point when she had limited motion. Her head tilted to the right. "That one. I think. I'm a little turned around." Or dizzy. Let's go with dizzy. She still wasn't sure how to answer the question of 'are you okay?'
"I wasn't here, because..." Should she even try to explain where she'd been? A world where she had Cordelia Chase and Harmony Kendall on her cell phone, all of her clothes were skankalicious (many with Sorority letters), and her parents were still married? Who would believe that? "I think maybe I passed out for a while," she lamely finished, not realizing that people had encountered 'Valley Buffy' here.
"Water, hospital, shower? Are those available?" And about two days of bedrest? She was playing off the pain as nothing. Faith looked badly injured, herself.
She then addressed Spike, because he'd taken a metaphorical bullet for her. "Thanks for helping Faith, with the charades bit...and the other bit...well, all the bits, really." Her phrasing might be wacky, but she was being sincere.
