Sam appeared to be a little bit confused at her. Where did that come from? Why was she so concerned about his opinion of her when she knew where he stood? They were friends. They watched each others backs. It's how it had been for a while and Sam highly doubted that was going to change anytime soon. Not after everything that she had done for him. Besides, despite his constant groaning and complaining about it, Sam would miss going out to meet with her over fries. Stupid, grease ridden french fries soaked in ketchup. He'd miss those too, much as he hated them.
"You're talking like something bad is gonna happen," Sam pointed out, tilting his head to the side to get a better look at her. Maybe he had taken too much blood. The demon wasn't talking any sense. Reassurance still seemed necessary. "I'm not changing my mind about you, Ruby. I know you care. You've cared a lot, otherwise you wouldn't have been here soon as you got back. You'd have made me wait until you went to see Castiel." Which should have been more important than this to her. And yet, somehow, it wasn't.
Just for right now. Until he got stronger. Like she said, he'd move past it in the future.
"Yeah," Sam confirmed, "I know Castiel isn't too big on the facial expressions and stuff, but he worried a lot. I could tell."
