That was actually reasoning that Sam was willing to believe in. Why wouldn't they bring Faith back here after delivering Ruby? Faith was a big deal. Ruby was...she was useful, but she was certainly no Slayer. And around here? That was what mattered the most.
Sam was slightly startled when she hugged him. He didn't pull away, nor did he protest. The gesture alone was certainly something that he had not been expecting. But then...she was a friend. And he supposed that when it came down to it, friends did that sort of stuff. Hugged. Comforted. And while they didn't hug one another often, Sam found that he had missed her a lot. Not just her blood, but her. The words of confidence, their general conversations. The way she smirked at things that annoyed him and obsessed over fast food. A few days without Ruby around and Sam found himself realizing just as to how important she was in his life. Her and Faith. He'd be lost without them both. He HAD been. And until he got Faith back, Sam knew he'd never be entirely whole.
Sam returned the hug lightly before leaning back again. "I guess we'll find out soon enough. In the meantime..." He offered Ruby a weak smile. "You'd better get to Castiel. I think he's worried enough over you."
