Sam didn't really want to talk about what was going on with Faith. He had barely been capable of it when he was with Dean and Claire, and while Ruby was easily the one that he could confide in the most, he didn't really know how to express his feelings on the matter without coming off as a terrified, rambling, walking mess of a man. Coming back from wherever Ruby had been, Sam didn't want to add anything else onto her own internal difficulties. Because Sam did believe that she had them. Struggles that no one else was aware of. Everyone did. She was probably far from all right due to her blast to the past. She could deal with that. He'd deal with his own stuff alone.
Alone. At least he wasn't that anymore.
"It wasn't," Sam responded, shaking his head, "but I don't wanna talk about it. It's not something that I can really...what about you?" A subject change. That was always a good thing. "What did you do when you got back? Not here. There. Was it different?"
