"This is entirely different," Sam hissed, "Margareta isn't a terminal patient! She's a woman who can be cured easily!" He didn't give a damn about DNR orders. What he cared about now was the fact that this woman, the woman that Ruby used to be, was in danger of losing her life. That shouldn't have even been an issue. That woman was suffering unnecessarily and it was all because Castiel, the almighty warrior of God, was being a stubborn ass. Stupid, stubborn ass.
"She's confused," Sam argued, "I don't blame her for being irrational, which she IS, and -"
What was she doing? He was on the verge of shouting. Now Castiel was off distracting him with religious talk again and...oh wow. She was...praying? Sam stared at her for a long moment, looking uncertain of himself. So this was who Ruby had once been. The woman silently bowed in prayer, willingly walking to her very death when there were hands reaching out to save her from every direction.
Sam really did think that joke was appropriate. The man stranded in the middle of the ocean, praying to God for a miracle. One boat passed by and he waved them off, saying that God was going to save him. Then another came and he repeated the action. When the man drowned and asked God why he didn't save him, God dubbed him as a moron and pointed out that he had just sent him two boats.
Margareta was being incredibly stupid. And Castiel...Sam had expected more of him.
"Castiel," Sam started. He glanced back at Margareta and cautiously lowered his voice. "You're making a mistake."
