"You say that, but you don't mean it," Sam said quietly. "We both know that it's not true. You're lying. And even if you weren't, you can't avoid it. It's in your nature."
She kept bringing that up. The killing Faith thing. Didn't she think he knew that? He was the one who was so stern on the theory in the first place. Eliminating one Faith could potentially do the exact same to the other. It was Sam who had argued the point - repeatedly! - and now it seemed as though she had forgotten. He knew what he was doing. He was putting her at risk.
Maybe he even was killing her.
Way to set a track record, Winchester. Kill your girlfriend off twice. Maybe even three times, depending on whether one counted this Faith as his girlfriend.
"I don't want it," Sam said honestly, "but look at you. You're going against everything that she believes in and I can't let that happen. You've refused to cooperate, you've killed people, and now, because of that, you're going to have to go." He lifted the stake and advanced toward her. Keeping his focus was admittedly much more difficult tonight than it had been since...well, since he'd started.
