Terry finally gave up on the hospital. It was late, they couldn't do anything. They did what they could without parental consent. His case wasn't life or death so they weren't going to do much else than give him pain killers. Mild ones at that. But they still relieved some of the burning. Emphasis on some. At least he wasn't bleeding internally anymore. That was a good thing. Pulling down the shirt of his costume to cover the bandaged wound he adjusted his mask and his eyes widened.
Something black, small, quick, and very familiar nearly ran over his foot as he went to cross the street. "Dreg! Watch where your.." His voice trailed off. That wasn't just any dreg. That was the dreg that had replaced Batman. That was a dreg who was going to get someone killed if he kept tearing around corners like he was. Nightwing pulled out a grappling hook and pushed a homing beacon under his wrist. The Tumbler would be there in seconds-there was no way he'd catch up to Bruce like this. It was a good thing he'd programmed it just incase. Even the Tumbler on auto pilot was less reckless than the batpod with a human pilot.
It came silently down the street. Even stopped at a stoplight for him to climb inside, and yes, he was secretly smug about it. Climbing inside he punched in the code to tap into the batpod's onboard computer system and tracked it-even if Batman noticed, all he needed was a second for a location. Bat technology was great-when it wasn't working against you.
The car only took minutes before it came to a stop just before the alley. The car door opened, and Terry used a grappling hook to catch a fire escape. Terry watched the scene for a minute frozen. He'd never seen Bruce so cold. This wasn't Bruce. it wasn't. He had to keep telling himself that. Trying to convince himself that his father couldn't be this cruel. Batman was about to headbutt him. All the gadgets and he chose headbutt? With that kind of armor on he could kill the guy. Nightwing used the grappling hook to launch himself into the air, pushing the criminal out of the way with his feet and landing infront of Batman. "You're not gonna get anything out of him if you knock him out."
