"You're wrong," Sam told her. "You don't know anything about me. Or us." As far as Sam was concerned, he was never going to hurt Faith. Not...in a way that she'd be aware of.
She had a point there. They all did want to hurt her. They had arguments about whether or not to stake her and that was actually part of the reason why Sam thought that it would be better if he was the first to find her. He didn't trust the others. He didn't know what they'd do to her.
"I'm not staking you. I don't know if killing you off is gonna screw with our chances of getting the real you back. We might need to swap for all I know and I'm not risking killing you if that means never getting her back." She had to believe him there. Why would he take the chance?
Sam rubbed at his eyes in frustration. "No, I'm not normal. I had...some stuff happen to me when I was young. But I'm not here to hurt you, so calm down already." He wasn't exactly at his best anyway. That much was painfully obvious.
