Jack chuckled, pulling one of the books towards himself and flipping through it while Anya spoke. "Agreed. I may have my computers and the archives, but it's just not the same here. I swear some of the information got lost in the shuffle coming here but with so much information to go through? Hard to know what you've lost until you need it. By then, too damn late to do anything about it." Jack flashed her a grin, nodding slightly as he reached for yet another book. "Oh I don't know. I don't think one can consider ever truly living until they've managed to screw up and cause a universe to implode."
Oh, what the hell? Jack kept that hand of hers, kissing the back of it before he released her hand. May as well flirt, a woman who was researching multiple dimensions was a woman after his own heart. "Oh, they can be if you're talking to the right person," Jack said, chuckling. The smile, however, faded abruptly. "Getting switched? When did this start happening and with who?" So much for the sweet-talking. Mention things Jack was familiar with and he turned all business.
