Buffy had to contain a smirk when Anya said that having just one hell was boring. When Anya continued on, saying the process of becoming a witch was dramatic Buffy had to lean onto the table in front of her, coughing, to keep from laughing. Recovering she covered her mouth with her hand (as though in thoughtful repose!) and muttered something approving.
"The idea of someone having power connected to hell is uneasy. I mean, why would she be the only one who is good, out of all the possible demons? When Angel was turned into Angelus, there was no way for him to just fight the evil - without a soul he was evil, and there was no way around it. If she had no soul, then why do we treat her like...like a chipped Spike? I mean, where's her chip? Sam?" An eye roll followed. "I mean, that might explain why he's babysitting her so much. Faith says she never sees him anymore. Maybe he's protecting Ruby?" That would cast Sam in a happier light, which is what would be ideal...
"But hey," she said softly. "I'm sorry that they - you know, racism. Not very fair. You're not even a demon right now. And you don't do anything questionable that makes the red flag of evil get raised." She was disliking the Winchesters more and more, and she'd never even met them.
"I guess you'll just have to kick their ass with kindness and be the most awesome former demon who wields the powers of good magic, ever." She smiled over to An'.
"In the meantime..." She took a book and flipped through the pages noncommittally. "I suck at this."
