He half expected her to be mad, he'd been so caught up in his own issues that he'd forgotten there was life out side of night wing. But when she returned the gesture he felt lighter than he had in a long time, almost walking on air. She had to be the most patient girlfriend in the world. His lips curved into a smile as he felt her in his arms. The first real warmth in months. It'd been so long. Too long..and he didn't want to lose touch with her again. With her he felt alive.
He didn't want this city to separate them. Terry needed her now more than ever. Other people had dangerous jobs and relationships and made it work. But they weren't Batman. Everything was either creds, holo-cards, tram passes, that sort of thing. No dollars, no coins like a normal wallet. It didn't even have a place for those since everything in their time was done electronically.
