Loitering was something Jade was very good at. Some people became bored standing or sitting in one place for very long, but it was always been one of Jade's skills. Likely, it was due to her very unconventional upbringing. She knew how to watch a place, and despite the dark green, scant outfit she generally wore during her work, she knew how to blend in as well. She'd been watching the area outside the building known as 'The Bradbury' for some time now. There was a certain red haired archer inside and with him, her own flesh and blood.
Funny how her twisted version of a motherly instinct had told her to find Roy and Lian before even bothering to find a place to live or make a visit to the local China Town-- something she did in every major city she found herself in. It was, she'd always found, the best place to stock up on the basics when supplies were low. A quick lick beneath the nail of her right middle finger told her she didn't have anything to worry about just yet. Her nails were coated in Hemlock, a very, very basic precaution for her, and while she would have liked to have more, this was a start.
She'd been outside of the Bradbury on and off for a few hours now, but with the sun going down she was considering abandoning her post. The building, and her daughter, would still be there tomorrow. Still... Jade wrinkled her nose and stared up and over at the building once more. Fingers tapped against the telephone poll embedded into the street corner. Perhaps just a few more moments.
Jade leaned against the pole, crossing denim clad legs as she ran through the plausible ways to get into the building. As of now, there were none. She needed to know more.
