Jack smiled as he listened to her. The Ruby situation was still very much on the edge of his mind, but he was easily distracted from it and took it as a good thing. Let it happen. "Sounds nice. I had a place like that back home too. It wasn't as..quiet, living in the middle of the city but it did the job. The roof of SPD was the only place where the light was pointed away enough in the right direction to see the stars." He shrugged and pulled a knee to his chest lazily wrapping his arms around it.
"I know right. I never thought I'd see the day." He chuckled as he picked up a small flat stone from the grass and tossed it at the lake, it skipped a few times. "You know this place is actually starting to feel more like home. Even if the technology is a little ancient." He mused quietly as he looked up at the sky. "Can I ask you something?"
