Cordelia breathed a sigh of relief when, a moment after Zuko spoke, Katara seemed to relax ever so slightly and gave a nod of her head. The professor's water prison evaporated, although the young woman did give him a warning.
"If you ever come near Zuko - or anyone I know - again, I'll destroy you." Her tone was flat but her gaze was fierce. Then she turned to Zuko.
"Let's get out of here," she suggested quietly, blue eyes studying him for a minute before she headed to the door, out of the basement and as far away from the professor as she could manage before she gave into that part of her that did want to see him dead.
Every few steps she'd glance toward Zuko, however, as though part of her was afraid he was going to suddenly go missing if she let him out of her sight.
