Smiling a little, Sam shook his head and turned to follow his brother over into the neighbors yard. "Stealing flowers it is," he laughed. Normally Sam wouldn't exactly put himself in a situation like this one, but for the sake of starting and reinstating a new tradition he supposed he'd be all right with playing along. It actually wasn't very surprising, the entire story. The surprising thing was that it had been brought up in the first place. He'd never known anything about it all until now.
Always the opposite of his brother, Sam carefully scooped up a handful of flowers and took a moment to pull off the dirt clumps. When he was satisfied with the way that they looked, he turned back and glanced over at Dean. He really did want to mock him for the colorful mess in his own hands. Instead, feeling rather smug about how organized his own flowers were, Sam tucked them behind his back with both hands and stepped back into their own yard.
