WHO: John, Dean, Sam (and later Mary) Winchester WHERE: Winchester & co house WHEN: Sunday, May 14, 2006; just before sunrise WHAT: Mother's Day! RATING: TBD STATUS: thread; in-progress
Mother's Day had been a perpetually sore subject with the Winchester men for years, as though commercial entities seemed out to taunt them with what they didn't have – but this year it was different. This year the holiday was worth celebrating because the boys had a mother to honor in life, not in memory. There were many ways that John thought they could have, but there was one, pulled from the memories of a time thought long gone, that he felt certain Mary would prefer above all the rest.
Standing close to the fence separating their backyard from the neighbors as he waited for his sons, John eyed the flower beds on the other side again and grinned to himself. Dean might not remember, his sons might find the whole thing damned ridiculous, but Mary? Mary would love it.
[ooc: It likely doesn't need to be long, I think! Just to cover the flowers, food making and presentation to Mary.]
