Zinda whistled low at that. "That's gotta be a big shock for ya- comin' back from that far ahead. Kinda makes my skippin' forward sixty-some-odd years seem a little less dramatic, that's for sure," she commented, flagging down the 'tender to get a second drink to replace her now-finished first.
"Mhm, you could say that," she answered his question with a nod. "The US military wouldn't let women fly back then, so I joined a squadron called the Blackhawks. They were mostly made up of a bunch'a fellas from countries the Axis was occupyin'" she explained, then paused before continuing. "How much do they teach ya about Earth military history in the 24th Century?" she wondered. "'Cause I know some kids today who don't know anything about the war, so I'm guessin' you might not know a whole lot 'bout what happened."
