WHO: Gabriel Gray & OPEN WHAT: Gabriel starts to understand how he turned into serial killer. WHERE: The Hyperion WHEN: May 11th; Afternoon RATING: PG STATUS: In Progress
That's it. Gabriel was done.
It wasn't as though anything he ever did made a difference anyway. He did what he was supposed to, always helped out anyone who needed it, put himself last in most situations because of his concern for the other people around him, but did he have anything to show for it? No. No, he didn't. Not unless the huge headache that was forming behind his eyes counted. Sure, he might have been in a better position than he had been back home. He had friends here, people who counted on him, but sometimes, the counting got to be a bit much. And he didn't think he could keep up his obligations this time through when he had so much else weighing on his mind.
Not that that seemed to matter at all, either.
Abandoning his usual afternoon post at the front desk, Gabriel headed across the hotel and ducked into the kitchens. It didn't seem right to retreat to his room, but being so out in the open with his mind running a mile a minute in a way that was either going to make him scream or start to cry at any minute wasn't the best strategy either.
Right now, he was really starting to understand how his other self had turned into serial killer. There was only so much the human heart could withstand before it felt like shutting down entirely.
