The increase in pressure earned an uncomfortable grunt. "I got more than a few. If there isn't at least one, there's either something wrong or it ain't me." Lindsey hesitated, blinking as he processed what he'd just said. Any other time, it might've been funny, but considering someone else in the city looked just like him. Lindsey shook his head with a soft snort and lowered his head, concentrating on her working fingers again.
"That's right. The Welcome Center." Lindsey cringed. Eve was professional and would remain so when it came to dealings with neutral grounds but outside of that? The last thing he wanted to be doing was breaking up fights. "I know. I appreciate that."
He lifted his head when she stopped the massage, opening his eyes. "It's work," he replied, shaking his head. "My desk wasn't all that much of a mess for being out as much as I have. I guess that's good." He glanced back at her. "You?"
