Fireworks set up & launch!
Other than the happy chatter of people, this spot on the edge of the city was quiet, the sounds of wildlife in the trees on the edge of the clearing a welcome change to the noise and chaos of the city. No advanced, comprehensive magic and protection surrounded the area, so individuals like Castiel would be able to attend, which wasn't the case at the house. There was, of course, the other typical protections, like salt lines, that accompanied the Winchesters being anywhere for a longer length of time.
But John wasn't focused on that right now, instead he was currently debating the merits of arranging the fireworks, an even display versus all the flash at the very end.
"If we're gonna do it, then let's do it right," he said, rubbing at the scruff on his jaw. "Everything's packed in the vehicles now, we'll clear out before anyone comes to check on the noise." It was said matter of fact enough, but even before LA, well-known for the ignorance and blindness of its natives, John and the law had skirted each other.
"We'll spread these ones," he pointed, "out between the groups of these smaller ones. Looks better that way."
Despite the debate being a debate, it wasn't laced with tension or anger, it was something that was as close to affectionate banter as the Winchester men could get while being of opposing opinions.
