All right, this was excitement. Jack almost started to grin, had it not been for the red thing bearing down on him. He heard the woman, peeking his head around mister red-and-scaly. The gun he could understand, the piece of paper -- not so much.But in Jack's life, he'd learned long ago that one didn't question others, particularly with an alien life-form standing less than three metres away from him.
"Woah there," Jack said, holding up both hands. "And where do we think we're running off to so quickly?"
Not like he really expected a response. One eye on the thing, the other on the woman.
"Need a hand?" he called out, flicking his gaze between the two.
