Jacen met her gaze, for the longest moment before finally nodding, sensing that she truly meant it when she said she was ready. There was only the briefest second of hesitation before he dropped the shields that kept him so hidden in the Force and let her feel is presence. He hid nothing, not the regrets he had, nor the things he'd accepted as needed. There was no point in pretending, not with any of it. Here in this city everything was different anyway.
He leaned forward and kissed her gently again, giving her the space to move back if she wanted. As far as he was concerned it was the final test to see if she was as ready as she believed. If she pulled back, he would go back to his room and give her more time. If she kissed him back then he'd be the happiest man in the city right now.
