It didn’t need to be voice; Jared sensed the tension that was set around from his allies at what he had done. He understood their repulsion, it had been a repulsive act but it satisfied him to keep him functioning like they needed him to. It was necessary. The vampire glanced to Jack. His now human-like blue gaze watched intently as he drew his gun. For a tense moment he suspected he would shoot him but he quickly dismissed when the blast destroyed the vampire. His attention then slowly turned to Buffy but he could already see the wall going up between them. He knew if he wanted to develop friendships with the slayer, Jack and everyone else he would have to work on keeping their trust in him.
However, all thoughts of alliance and his feeding when out the window when he heard and saw Faith. She was still as beautiful ever.
