Jared had brought a surprisingly amount of intensity onto the scene. She wasn't used to seeing, allowing, and wanting a vampire to feed on someone else. And even though it was vamp on vamp action (with the good guy on the better end) it seemed wrong to her in some sense. She hadn't been quite prepared for this. It was brutal. But wasn't it always - this fight? She didn't want to make Jared feel badly for doing what they'd set out to do, just because he had done it in a different manner than she'd anticipated. Still, she felt a slight cold shoulder turn towards him.
Faith had appeared as the female vampire was dropped to the ground. Buffy did her best to feign nonchalance at the situation. The people in this place probably all fought in different ways. Buffy had never thought her method of fighting was boring, but it seemed a little too standard once she'd seen Jack pull out a gun-like object that burst with flames aimed at the vampire. Poof.
"That was...effective," Buffy managed to finally say, a bit stunned. She looked to Faith questioningly, thumbing towards Jack. "You knew he could do that? That's kinda nifty." Okay, in truth she hated guns of any kind. But the colors were pretty. "Cheater," Buffy joked towards Jack.
"I feel suddenly very under accessorized." With Faith in mind she patted the sides of the leather pants. "But I guess there's no pockets, anyway." A grin formed. She wasn't sure if Faith had noticed the pants were hers. And instead of trying to hide the fact, she wanted to flaunt it.
"That makes two vamps on an hour patrol. Not terribly shabby. But where do we go now? It's too early to call it a night, but it seems like the vamps aren't biting. Which in theory, should be a good thing...but you guys know what I mean."
