As the vampire registered another vampire (which didn't seem like a bad thing) she smiled. Not that she wanted to share her meal. But when it appeared that her prey had brought along a friend, she was annoyed that this wouldn't be an easy meal. Vampires never got a break.
"Good thing we're not normal humans, huh?" Buffy asked the vampire. "I mean, Jack just hates disappointing people by doing anything like being normal. And Jared isn't one for being predictable either." She waved a bit of her hand over to Jared in the dark. She let the vampire 'get it' - that's right, they were both with her.
She pushed the vampire out from her, and she was set in the middle of a circle made by the three patrol buddies.
The vamp looked to her fellow vamp, Jared. "What kind of betrayal is this? You associate with humans? Help me feast upon their blood!" She was hissing her words out, angrily. There was no note of fear, though.
"Sorry," Buffy retorted as she grabbed the vampire's head while bringing her own knee up, knocking them together in a fiercely casual fashion. "He's on a diet." Letting go of the vampire, she stumbled back into the middle of them - an easy target for Jared or Jack.
"I don't feel like an insolent knave. Do you feel like an insolent knave, Jack?" She shook her head, visibly 'thinking'. "Yea, I just don't feel it."
