The man looked good for money. That was the first thing that Spike noticed about him. The second? He didn't seem right. The first thing that came to mind was that he looked untrustworthy. And suspicious. Spike moved toward him, smoothly avoiding the sun lamps until he reached the area in which he had no choice but to make physical contact with the light that spouted from them. His jaw tightened and he quickly edged his way from the light, but aside from that he made no sign of being disturbed at all. He wasn't about to walk into this room and give this man a list of vulnerabilites upon their first meeting. That would have been daft of him.
"You said you had a job for me," Spike said, staring the man down. "Let's hear it."
