By now, Sarah's glitch with her wedding gift to Peter was a familiar undercurrent to her day, the ebb and flow of feelings and thoughts not her own always more potent when he was thinking of her and touching her at the same time. She smiled to herself, a content sort of expression despite the situation and the undercurrents of tension and anger in the room, and listened to what Nathan was suggesting.
"Arthur supposedly did it?" It was a question without an expected answer, just a voicing of Sarah's mild surprise. She wasn't certain why she was surprised, given the lengths to which the family had gone to that had been illustrated in the recounting of events from everyone in this room and more, but there was a difference – to her – between negligence by lack of will to stop a wrong event and deliberately changing a person to cover one's tracks, good intentions or not.
She remained where she was, knowing Peter wouldn't likely need any sort of center for exploring a mind he knew so well, but liking to be there for that purpose just the same.
