No. It wasn't right. It felt right, yes, but it wasn't right at all. He likely would have argued that one, too, under different circumstances. Now he was too busy reveling in what he had done. That vampire had been easy to kill. Terribly, terribly easy. Better than before, where he had to go out and strain himself to get half his work done. Maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, because Sam had gotten better at what he did, but this was a lot different. All he had to do was wave a hand and that vampire had crumbled away.
"Yes," Sam stated, nodding. "It's good enough for tonight." Except that hesitant look on his face said otherwise. He wanted to try more, to see what else he could do. Would there be new tricks? Did Ruby know or did he have to figure it out on his own?
He made no mention of meeting up with her again, even though his mind was already on calling her later on. They could test this out more. How long did the feeling last? The strength? He looked down at his hands again, that thought crossing him over for a long moment as he tried to figure it out.
As much as he wanted to continue, Sam also knew that there were other important things that he needed to tend to. He had a girlfriend out there who needed to be visited. Eyes lifting, Sam nodded. "I should go, right." He'd be just as happy to see Faith as he was with the way that he felt now. He already knew that.
