"It's just a vampire," Sam said quietly, moving forward to inspect the creature. Bumpy forehead, yellow eyes, fangs. He sure didn't look all that happy. The vampire was straining against the invisible hold on him, teeth bared as he snarled at Sam with fury. Did he seriously think that he was going to get away from him? Right now? When pinning him down had been so easy?
"You're just a vampire," Sam told the undead creature. "And she's a demon. And I'm...me." He had just behaved like a vampire, he had demon blood in him, but he was human. What did that make him, exactly?
The vampire was probably young. Hungry. He didn't stand a chance against anyone with a little bit of power. Sighing, Sam let the vampire go. The vampire appeared to be grateful for the gesture, because he turned on his heel and started to run away. That was almost offensive, as Sam didn't recall giving him permission to leave. Sam put his hand up again and, before the vampire was able to get far, his head twisted at a horribly odd angle. Dust
"It's like walking," Sam stated, looking back at Ruby thoughtfully. "Just like walking." Easy.
