Like the look in his eyes. He looked like an excited kid, completely on the verge of exploring a particularly large candy store without any limitations. It was an interesting look, completely doubled with the way those eyes were changing directly on the spot. His pupils were darkening, an effect on himself that he couldn't quite see or feel. Not without a mirror or something, which Sam thankfully did not often carry around with him. It was good that he couldn't see. He'd freak out if he did. Dark eyes. Reflecting what was inside of him, about how far from the level of human that he prided himself in that he really was in that moment.
Having seen the vampire appear in the dark, Sam looked at Ruby curiously before he stepped forward, seemingly as confused as the vampire before them. The vampire was confused about them, Sam was still reeling about himself. It wasn't until the vampire growled and stepped toward him that Sam lifted an arm and, quite effortlessly, hurled him back against a tree.
It usually took thought. Focus. What Sam had done there required nothing more than an easy push. He looked down at his hand, brows rising in surprise. "What...?"
