The air was getting heavier by the second and Faith knew that time was rapidly running out. As much as she trusted her friends, hell her family, she was starting to wonder if this was really going to be it for them, that they wouldn't be able to cheat death, again.
She made a strange half laugh, half almost-sob at Sam's comment. Maybe they'd end up as ghosts in LA, only the friendly kind that could have fun together, like going to expensive restaurants and freaking out the people there. She deliberately didn't think of what else might lay beyond for them, given that they were from different worlds. Did that mean different afterlives too? Maybe she should have asked the angels that when she'd had the chance. There were matching tears down her face as for the first time she let herself regret not telling him sooner and letting them both find out where this could lead to. Even if they'd still both ended up here, they could have known what it would have been like to be together.
Her head was swimming and her breath was labored and still it felt like the best kiss Faith had ever had. Her body was pressed against his as her fingers tangled in his hair. If this was really the end, this was the only way she wanted to go. I love you. She didn't want to break away from him to say it out loud again so she showed him through the kiss. If it was going to be their only one she was damn well going to make it worth it.
