Lindsey snorted dismissively, shaking his head. "Destiny is an overused term for people who don't want to admit that they can't take what control they do have over their future because they're afraid of working against or with what control over it that they don't. It's all a game of chance. Not even prophecies are set in stone."
It wasn't necessarily the truth but it was what Lindsey believed with a small amount of conviction. Change happened, could and would happen.
