"Cheerleading?" Heidi raised her eyebrows, somewhat surprised by Claire's comment, but definitely in a pleasant way, as evidenced by the quick smile that came. It was good for the children to be able to enjoy normal activities, and she wanted this for Claire. She knew it might come to heartache, when Nationals ended up being in New York or Pheonix and Claire couldn't go, or if she didn't make the team, but Heidi knew too well that part of life was trying even though things might not go the way you expect them to.
"It sounds great." Heidi said enthusiastically. "If you need someone to take you, or just go in to keep you company, I'll be there. Then, Saturday we'll go shopping for some new clothes." And hopefully, Heidi thought, a cheerleading uniform or two.
