The 'creepy silent chick' as Buffy had labeled her, voiced her opinion on war and fighting. It felt maybe a tad bit judgemental, or maybe that was just Buffy's own natural guilt for voicing her own doubts about the price paid to fight this war. The way it never seemed it would be won, just kept at bay. And could that be good enough? Maybe. Maybe it just had to be. She'd had that conversation so many times. But it had never seemed more real than in the light of the past year. When she'd jumped, she was relieved. She thought she'd get peace. But maybe she wasn't built to have peace. Anyone's guess.
Buffy nodded to Tenel Ka, finding herself appreciative of her words. Tenel Ka might not be as accessible as Willow, but she was giving her the same sort of support the red-head was excellent at giving.
The guy, Jacen, then spoke. He mentioned 'Slayers' and Buffy wondered how close he and Faith had worked. He seemed to regard her highly. As he walked out of the door Buffy asked Jack, "Kriffing...is that like lingo?" She stepped towards him, bowing her head down a bit. "I...I am unbelievably sorry that I went all attacky on you. I gues...that you and I were friends. And I hope, that we can be again. I just need a little time."
Spike and Jack both seemed to second the rest/coffee. But that didn't feel like what she needed. "I um, I actually think I might just get some of this polluted L.A. air. I'll be fine. I'm not gonna do anything dumb. So um...I guess I'll see you guys later." A general nod. "Say goodnight to those other two for me? They're...interesting."
She headed out the door to gauge what she could of this new reality.
[OOC: If anyone wants to follow Buffy outside and continue talking let me know and we can start a new thread. ]
