At the sight of her dark-haired counterpart she felt her hands ball into fists. "Can't say the same, Faith." She almost laughed, except she was too mad to do anything but act shocked. "So, the greeting party is psycho jailbird Slayer? Oh yea, I'm just feeling so much better about things now."
Specifically to Faith she said, "I'm pretty much believing nothing you say. So don't waste your energy." To Jack she said, "If this is who you think I'm going to trust, you obviously don't know me very well."
Two more people entered the room - a guy and a gal. She didn't recognize them. But she didn't recognize Jack either, whom she supposedly was buddy-buddy with. She didn't sense that they were vampires, but something did seem a little off about them. It was hard to place.
As things seemed as odd as they could get, Buffy was startled to see a familiar face in the form of Spike. She steadied herself, hoping she had energy left to fight another Slayer and a vampire - plus these other three. He was looking at her in a strange way which raised several notches of uncomfortableness. He looked like he cared. Granted, he'd cared for a while in his own weird way, but in some alternate universe she'd assume that he was back to his old evil self. Whether he was good, evil, chipped or not - she didn't want to deal with him. Or Faith. Or hangnails. Or anything!
Jack was talking again. He seemed very earnest - he wanted her to believe. To step back into shoes that weren't hers. As Jack said hi to Faith, Buffy said to him. "Now you're practically guilty by association." Yea, he was getting a good portion of her bitterness. Well, they all were. None of these were friendly faces, despite being somewhat familiar.
"I don't know whose brainless plan this was, so I guess I'll just hold you all accountable. Now let me be very clear about something. I. want. to. see. my. sister."
A pause. She aimed her fiery eyes at Faith. "And I'm also really wanting to punch you in the face." She raised her right fist while she bolted a few paces towards her target. Maybe it would be more wise to try to talk this mess out. But mostly she just wanted to hurt someone.
She aimed her already somewhat busted fist to Faith's jawline, feeling a surge of adrenaline she hoped would be able to crack a bone in the first try.
