This wasn't good. To say the least it wasn't at all. But he gave her a strained smile. "Hell of a place to take a cat nap Buffy." He thought she should have kept still, but slayer strength and all. It still threw him off sometimes how much she could take. She was so little. She and Faith both were. "Woah, easy. " Jack frowned in concern as he watched her touch her head. Wincing a little for her even.
That looked painful. He pulled out his phone and looked down his list of contacts. Maybe he should get Faith. She would know what to do. His train of thought was interrupted by the sound of her voice. "Wait. You don't know me? Come on Buffy..I know things got weird before and all, but.." He trailed off as he reached for her hand. "It's me, Jack, Jack Landors. We I've known you for almost a year Buff. " He searched her face and hoped for any sign of recognition. Nothing. That scared him more than the fact that she looked beaten and bruised. The physical would heal, he'd seen it on Faith. But the mental..he wasn't so sure..What if something happened to her memories? What if they'd done something. Whoever it was, wherever she was last. It hadn't clicked yet that this could be another Buffy completely. Even with the crack that this place was on sometimes, that was the furthest thing from his mind.
"Seriously Buffy, if this is some kind of joke I'm not finding the funny. " Jack started to stand and offered her a helping hand up. Even a shoulder to lean on. "We used to work together at the Hyperion. I think we should get you back there."
