"It's not almost like it, it's exactly that," Claire said, turning on the chair to look at Faith square on. "Look, I love them both, but Sam and Dean, they think they're responsible for saving everyone from everything. I get why, after the years on the road, the two of them going it mostly alone even with all those hunters out there, but they don't get that LA is basically, like, concentrated talent. They don't get they're supposed to rely on other people and that bad things that happen aren't because they did something wrong. Why do you think Sam and Dean took down Lilith? Alastair? As soon as they see it as their responsibility, that's all they see."
She leaned back in the chair, glass in hand. "And they see their family, us, their friends – all of us as their responsibility. It doesn't matter if it's your world and you're the Slayer, or Peter's the Champion, or I can't die. And it's not that they think we can't do things, because I've made sure Dean understands I can take care of myself, but they think if they don't do everything and something happens, that something is their fault."
She felt it was a pretty good assessment, because even though Dean and Sam were different in a lot of ways, in that way they were the same, in that way they were just like John Winchester.
"They won't believe it from anyone, because they're so stuck in that. Stubborn ass Winchesters."
Despite the huffy sort of sigh it was said with, there was also fondness in Claire's tone of voice
