Terry needed some air. As far as he was concerned, this was the perfect way to get it. Ontop of that, get to see his girlfriend for once. He felt bad most of the time. She was dragged to this dimension just like the rest of them were but still things between them didn't change much. Didn't go anywhere. He was still working for Bruce. Still out all hours of the night. Rarely reachable. Tonight that was gonna change, had too for the sake of his sanity. So he fed Dante and Ace, and was off to the spot he'd specified.
A normal date. How long had it been since he'd had one of those? He couldn't even remember, but Bruce said he didn't have to be out there every night-which was shocking in it's own right, and relieving at the same time. Part of him wondered if the real Bruce was secretly stolen away in the middle of the night and replaced by his good twin or something. But he wasn't about to test the theory and wait around for Bruce to change his mind. So he was off, headache or not he was just gonna deal and take what he could get.
Stopping at a small flower stand he paid for a single red rose. He almost went for white, but then he remembered rat boy. He'd rather not be in the same league with a guy like that. Different was good. Very much. And he headed for the rendezvous point. A quiet restaurant in the city. Maybe it was a little cliche, but everyone needed cliche once in a while. The restaurant was two story, he booked them a table on the second floor, and waited by the door for her. Open air. It was perfect. He was determined to keep it that way after everything else that'd happened since she arrived.
