The way he looked at her then made her more nervous than she'd ever admit. Because she couldn't read him, couldn't tell what he was thinking but knew it was about her, was he having doubts again about what they were doing, because he was worried about her?
It was weird. She looked away out at the bar as Sam paid for the drinks and told her she had something to loose as well as him. But didn't he understand yet that they wouldn't have to loose anything at all!. Once Sam had done what he was destined to. Once he was that kind of power she had always known he could be he would make them all safer here. And if hell ever threatened them like Lilith and Alastair had, then he would stop them without a thought. He was capable of it. She had such faith in him and he didn't see it.
"We won't loose anything" she told him, jumping down from the stool to stand next to him. As they did the bar quietened. Reputations were sometimes just fun.
"Not a thing" she confirmed and turned to look up at him. This was his party after all.
