Diana had been exploring Los Angeles both on foot and by air, trying to develop an understanding of what might be causing the seemingly eternal eclipse. Her queries to Clark, Bruce, and J'onn had gone unanswered, which only served to elevate her anxiety, but she'd handled a crisis before without their help. The city was also infested with vampires and a few other unsavory creatures, and she'd certainly had enough on her hands just dealing with them. Obviously there was a malevolent background to this. Once again, she wished she had access to some of the more extensive JLA files.
The streets had become emptier as the eclipse wore on, and people more and more frightened. Diana had become used to discovering mortals in danger all around, but even so, when she came upon the weeping girl, her heart instantly softened. She always felt that way for one of her sisters, especially those who might have been abused in Patriarch's World. Her gaze swept the area around her, but she didn't sense any imminent danger. Stopping beside the forlorn figure, she put a hand on her shoulder and said, "Is there something I can do to help, miss?"
