Who: Static and Bart Allen What: random meetings are random! When: Monday afternoon Where: the city Warnings: tba Status: in progress.
Virgil was feeling all kinds of pent up and frustrated. He needed to get out. Somewhere far, far away from Terry who was all for the idea. Practically held the door open for him. So he did, he left without looking back. Funny thing is he didn't even know what he did yet, or didn't do..or would do? Terry seemed to be angry with him for some reason that he couldn't exactly decipher easily except that whatever event he was angry about hadn't even occured until 2040. It was grating on his nerves that someone could be so judgmental without even trying. The sun was setting just as he changed into his alter ego Static and escaped his through a window on his flying disk. Trailing behind him was a tail of static electricity.
Flying always made him feel better. Hell just being Static did. It was better than any thrill ride. The wind cut at his skin but a little cool weather never slowed him down. In Dakota City right now it would still be snowing, and Static would still have to patrol. Hey if being a hero was easy everybody would do it. Static decided it was safe to show off a little, people on the street were watching. It got him in trouble before, but this was different right? This was L.A. not Dakota. Nobody would get hurt..or worse. Besides he needed to make a name for himself, so using the flying disk like a surf board he skimmed against the side of a tall sky scraper like he was riding a wave. At the edge of the building Static flipped into the air and landed on the disk that stayed floating a few inches ahead of him. An appreciative crowd below clapped and cheered. Virgil grinned.
Now he felt like he was more at home, he had the peoples support. But not so much the vampires. But he wasn't worried about impressing the undead. He was far more concerned with the living. So like any curious teenager in a new city he decided a meet and greet was in order and flew in low along the sidewalk. Offering a wave here and there-so he had a bit of a flashy showboat side to him, his name was "Static" wasn't it? It was in the fine print, be electrifying at all times.. He cruised the streets and peered in store windows. It was totally different than Dakota of coarse. But maybe different was good..different would give him a fresh start, and after the accident..that was exactly what he needed.
