Dean followed swiftly behind Nathan. "Yeah, we were talking, and we just decided on something and he was gone." It was the most vague of ways to put the situation, but Dean didn't know what else to do. This wasn't the way he wanted to break the news of the relationship to Nathan. The topic was one that merited a long, thoughtful discussion because Claire deserved for him to do this right.
Praying that Nathan wouldn't question him further, Dean edged around him to open the door to Noah's room. "I've already checked for demons, looked in the hallway and given everything a once over." It sounded ridiculous, but Dean wanted Nathan to know he had already exhausted all the resources he could think of before getting help. Dean was self sufficient, independent, and strong enough to both handle and take care of Nathan Petrelli's daughter.
