"Sometimes I miss it," she admitted candidly, eyes widening as she turned her attention back to him. "But this is my home, now. It--...scares me more than anything to know that they could take me away--from you--as quickly as they brought me here." She bit her lip, absentmindedly tracing a line down his shoulder. "It looks like Heather was sent home. She was pregnant, and they sent her back. It doesn't make any sense."
She could feel the tension beginning to drain away, enjoying getting to pamper him. "Why don't you give it a fair shot?" she suggested, pressing another kiss to his forehead--taking advantage of the alone time to lavish affection upon her fiance. Days like today reminded her how much she took advantage of him, his presence in her life, even if it was her very last intention. "While staying on your toes.
