The look on Ben's face was so much like Dean that Castiel couldn't help but smile slightly. How there was ever any doubt over his paternity he would never know. One only had to look into his eyes and they'd see the Winchester defiance.
"You're right, your father and grandfather are exceptionally good at what they do. But this situation with Sam, it's very new. The demon Azazel was unique in his visions for the future and now, we're all having to adapt and learn how to handle this. And I think we're all at different points in doing that and that's where much of the misunderstandings lie. There's never been anyone like Sam before. Or," he smirked slightly. "Anyone like Ruby for that matter."
He sighed, despite his lack of a need for breath.
"Yes, I have. And it's always a difficult situation to deal with. Delicate." And one he still prayed to avoid in Sam.
