That really hadn't been what Ben had been expecting to hear – all right, not expecting as much as just hoping. He' d been hoping Castiel was cool with sharing Ruby with his Uncle Sam and while it still made Ben angry to think about the weirdness of it all and how uncool it had been for Heather, at least it would have meant they were all in agreement.
Now it just sounded to Ben like Castiel had no idea what was going on. Talk about epic suck. Man, why were they doing this to poor Castiel, was it because he wasn't human anymore and they thought they could get away with it because he wasn't able to see in the house? Harsh.
"Cas, I think you need to sit down," he said, reaching out to grab the angel's hand and pull him out of the cage to one of the benches outside it. Once out there, he pointed to it for Castiel to sit, expression utterly grave, no joking about it.
