He glared at her. She just seemed to cheerful about all of this for his liking. The urge to slam her back again flickered through him. Rather than acting on what he wanted, Sam decided to do what he needed to do. Looking terribly annoyed, he turned and stalked off. No farewell, nothing. He doubted Ruby was really expecting one anyway.
The fifteen minute walk home had been an interesting one, to the say the least. Haunted by the conversation exchanged between himself and Ruby, Sam stepped into the Winchester home and quietly slipped into his bedroom. He sulked there for the rest of the night. Even sleep wouldn't rid him of the thoughts that would, despite as hard as he might try to avoid them, plague him for the next couple days.
