As frustrating as he found the musical plague visting the city, this was the singular moment that he didn't regret and wouldn't have changed for the world. The vulnerability he'd had in that moment would have scared him had it not been just Cathy with him, the only person he was willing to let see that side.
There was no resistance as he let her draw him back to her, into another kiss. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in closer, deepening the kiss.
