She had never seen him smile quite like that before, and it made her giddy to know that he was happy because of her. Lindsey wanted this, wanted to make the promise to be with her for the rest of his life. Her mind couldn't have been further from considering the details of the wedding itself, the ceremony not mattering at all in comparison to what the ring on her finger symbolized.
Cathy had been married before, and though until now the thought of taking the step had only been an idea, she had no reservations. Far from it.
Her lips met his eagerly, the kiss lingering as silence fell between them for a moment. When they finally broke apart, her hands drifted up his arms as she rest her forehead against his, the smile never fading from her own face. She would have been content with the blanket of quiet that seemed to have fallen over them, though it seemed that such decisions were not in her control.
The song came softly from her, her voice still quivering with emotion, and she did not resist, instead allowing it to bubble over. As a performer, she had always been taught that music sprung from the need to communicate more deeply than could be sufficed by mere words, and it had never rang more true.
"If there were no words, No way to speak. I would still hear you.
If there were no tears, No way to feel inside, I'd still feel for you."
Her hands reached his shoulder, arms encircling his neck as she drew herself back to him, a gentle kiss placed upon his lips. This singing thing had left her absolutely vulnerable, forcing her to bare her soul rather than hold anything back...and it made the moment that much more intimate.
"And even if the sun refuse to shine, Even if romance ran out of rhyme... You would still have my heart, Until the end of time. You're all I need, My love, my valentine."
{{Valentine- Martina McBride. Only Lindsey merits exceptions to the musical theatre song rule xD}}
