Again, if only he had known. He would have stopped, snatched that phone right from under Jack's nose, and bailed. But as he didn't, Sam just kept on going. Going badly. There was a reason he had never been into the chorus/theater thing back in school. Seriously not where his talents resided.
Throwing an arm out and pointing toward nothing in particular, Sam belted out another verse, face twisting into what looked like a painful - but was actually rather amusing - expression all the while.
"Counting down, make that sound. And you know it makes no sense!" Puffing his chest out, he hopped up onto his bed, nearly hitting the unsuspecting Jack in the face with his foot without even seeing him and continued on proudly. Standing tall, head nearly meeting the ceiling, Sam threw his arms out and continued on. "I'm trembling, THROWN OVERBOARD. When I'm ready to relive the past!"
Oh! Oh! His verse! This was the best part! Straightening up, face built with such emotion that he looked like he was literally about to burst into tears (the song was THAT good), Sam drew in a strong breath and screeched on. "And I'll say she never hurt me and look at it as learning and laugh about the good and the bad. Because I will live forever! We don't belong together! I know I'll feel better one day when I can make it through! I won't forget you! I'm not gonna let you win! But I'm tired of -"
At that last line, he jumped up, bashed his head against the ceiling, then literally fell down onto his knees against the mattress. Wincing, he rubbed at the side of his head and scowled. Why was that ceiling so damn low in the first place? Growling in irritation, he flopped back against his pillow and sighed dramatically, listening to the song as it wrapped itself up. Head still pounding slightly from the head crash, Sam closed his eyes and rubbed at his skull.
Man. That song. So fucking good. Reaching up, he rubbed at his eyes. Had to keep his emotions in check, he seriously did. It was just a song.
